EVENT DETAILS
At Our Piece of the Pie®, Inc. (OPP ®), we believe that with access and opportunity, all youth can succeed. With the mission to “help urban youth become successful adults,” OPP has successfully structured its programs and services to lead at-risk or disadvantaged youth, ages 14-24, toward the goals of achieving a college degree or vocational credentials and/or obtaining rewarding post-education employment. Through innovative methods, OPP seeks to re-engage disconnected youthand help them find a realistic “pathway to success.”
Sip ‘n’ Sail 2012 is a wine-tasting cruise and fundraiser for 200+ diverse guests from corporations, nonprofits, government and other community members that support Our Piece of the Pie onboard The Lady Katharine’s The Mystique.
When: June 7th, 2012; Boarding and pre-sail mixer begins at 5:30 PM and the ship sails from 7:00- 8:30 PM Where: Charter Oak Landing, Hartford
Proceeds from Sip 'n' Sail 2012 will support OPP in their efforts to help over 1,110 urban youth become successful adults by helping them finish high school, prepare them for the workforce, give back to the community and graduate from college or a vocational institution. This wine tasting cruise along the Connecticut River will include a short program and silent auction.
